About Provindex

Provindex helps healthcare organizations verify Medicare enrollment and stay ahead of the changes that get claims rejected.

Why we built it

Medicare rejects claims when an ordering or referring provider isn’t actively enrolled in PECOS. Agencies often discover the problem only after the denials arrive — once the work is already done and the revenue is at risk. The underlying data is public, but it’s spread across large federal files that aren’t built for quick lookups or ongoing monitoring. Provindex exists to close that gap.

What it does

Search a directory of U.S. healthcare providers, check Medicare PECOS enrollment and active NPIs, and build lists of the providers you work with. When a provider you’re monitoring falls out of PECOS enrollment or is deactivated, we alert you — so you can act before a claim gets rejected rather than after.

Where our data comes from

Provider information comes from publicly available federal sources — CMS NPPES, the Medicare PECOS Ordering/Referring file, and the NUCC taxonomy code set — refreshed on a regular schedule. Provindex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CMS, Medicare, or any government agency, and the directory is a convenience and monitoring tool, not an authoritative source. Always verify enrollment directly with CMS before making billing decisions.

Who it’s for

Home health agencies, billing teams, and anyone who needs to confirm a provider’s Medicare enrollment and be notified the moment it changes.
